Do I have to study at Paras to join the test series?
No. The test series is open to any CA student in India, whichever institute you attend or whether you are studying on your own. Roughly half the students in the last cycle were not Paras classroom students.
Can I write the papers from another city?
Yes. The paper opens at the same minute everywhere in the country. You write it at home in exam conditions, scan it from your phone within thirty minutes of finishing, and upload it. The marked script comes back scanned, with the pen marks visible.
Who marks the papers?
The faculty member who teaches that paper at Paras. Scripts are marked by hand against the ICAI’s own marking scheme — not matched against a model answer by software, and not outsourced.
How long until I get my script back?
Four working days is the standard. You get marks split sub-part by sub-part, a written comment wherever marks were lost, your rank against everyone who sat that paper, and one instruction on what to fix before the next one.
Is the test series marking a prediction of my ICAI result?
No, and treat anyone who tells you otherwise with suspicion. It is an internal assessment designed to show you where marks are leaking. It carries no weight with the ICAI.
